How vendor tagging and credit attribution works.
Every business connected to a wedding is credited through the submission process.
How does tagging work?
The submitting business tags every known vendor by business name at the time of submission. If a vendor does not yet exist in our database, you will be asked to enter them as a new vendor which requires their Business Name and email address. The email is very important so that the vendor can be notified of the submission and given the chance to claim their profile and take advantage of the exposure.
I was tagged in a submission I didn't make
If you were tagged in a submission, you'll be notified via email as long as one was entered during the submission process. If your business doesn't have a Profile yet, you can follow the claim process and manage your business information.
Can a credit be corrected after submission?
Yes. Contact hello@caratsandcake.com to add a missed vendor or correct a credit — Featured Weddings and Albums can't be edited directly.
How do credits show up across the platform?
Every credited vendor links from the Featured Wedding, Album, or Cherry image to the appropriate claimed profile. Vendors without a claimed profile will show with a static credit and will not link anywhere. What's visible on your own Profile is dependent on your Membership level.
